Shea Butter
Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the African shea tree. It is a vegetable fat with a high content of unsaturated fatty acids. The long-chain fatty acids contained in shea butter (such as stearic acid or linoleic acid) are similar to human sebum. This supports the skin barrier in its function, helps stimulate collagen synthesis in the skin, provides moisture, antioxidants and suppleness. Organic shea butter is included in the following products from the GREEN series: Cleansing Milk, Eye Cream, Night Cream and Fluid.
