A cleansing milk should always be tailored to your respective skin condition. Especially with dry and oily skin it is important that the facial cleanser does not contain too many harsh surfactants and alcohol, because these can damage the skin barrier. With dry skin, a damaged skin barrier increases the feeling of dryness and can lead to redness. In the case of oily skin, harsh substances can dry out the skin and thus lead to an overproduction of sebum, which can maintain the cycle of oily sheen and incorrect cleansing.
Sensitive skin often reacts to friction, but also to fragrances and high concentrations of surfactants. With sensitive skin, a gentle texture, few or no perfume oils and mild surfactants (soaps) are therefore important. In order to strengthen the skin barrier of sensitive skin, cleansers can contain oil-replenishing ingredients.
Washing your face with water is a first step towards a skin care routine. However, since tap water often contains limestone, it can lead to deposits of lime residue on the skin, which, in the long term, can lead to impurities. Also, some germs, viruses and bacteria that accumulate on our skin throughout the day are only fat-soluble, which means that they cannot be completely removed with water. A surfactant, found in cleansers, is necessary to prevent them from spreading on the skin.
An effective facial cleansing includes a cleansing milk, a cleansing gel or micellar water as well as a facial tonic (also called toner). The cleansing milk removes dirt from the skin, the facial toner removes soap or lime residues and normalizes the skin's pH balance.
Our skin works a lot during the day: we often subconsciously touch our faces, put our head in our hands or dab our foreheads. As a result, bacteria or viruses that we have on our hands from opening doors, touching handrails etc., get directly onto our faces and form a breeding ground for impurities and pimples. To prevent this, it is important to thoroughly wash our face in the evening. Clean pores also improve the absorption of active ingredients in subsequent care.
Regeneration processes take place in the skin at night: cells renew themselves, pollutants are removed, we move around and sweat frequently during sleep. Even if you clean your face before going to bed, this doesn't mean that your skin is automatically clean when you wake up. In order to assure that the ingredients from a serum or day cream can be optimally absorbed by the skin, you should therefore wash your face in the morning.
Wash your hands and sprinkle your face, neck and décolleté with water. Put one or two pumps of the cleansing milk on your fingertips and apply it to your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Alternatively, you can lather up the cleansing milk between the palms of your hands. Massage the cleansing milk in thoroughly for 10 to 20 seconds so that the texture attaches itself to the dirt particles. Then thoroughly remove the cleansing milk with plenty of water.
Our skin is constantly working: regeneration processes take place at night and metabolic products accumulate, we sweat or freeze. During the day, the skin is exposed to dirt, bacteria, etc. Facial cleansing helps to support the skin in its protective function. In the morning, a cleansing milk frees the pores from sweat, dead skin cells and deposits, in the evening it removes signs of the day. A cleansing milk thus creates the basis for the active ingredients from subsequent care to be absorbed by the skin.
Sustainability, purity and naturalness are very important to us. In organic cultivation, farmers have to ensure crop rotation, renounce on pesticides or chemical fertilizers and are not allowed to use genetically modified seeds. Only this kind of farming is in line with our core values.
Yes, we love animals and would never test cosmetics on them! In our formulations we completely renounce on animal product and don't even use honey or beeswax. Also our hyaluronic acid is synthesized from plant-material.
No, the GREEN series only features natural fragrances, either as essential oils, natural extracts or cold-pressed oils.
Purity and skin compatbility are key in our products. We have a very clear philosophy to renounce on unnecessary fillers to save costs or get to a comfortable texture easily. As a principle, we renounce on mineral oils and silicones and instead use organic-grade cold pressed oils and natural lipds. This alternative is far more exepnsive, but allows us to create products with luxurious textures that contain precious nutrients that absorb into skin. In general, natural oils and lipids integrate far better into the skin's balance: as an emulsion they resemble human sebum and are therefore very well compatible with the skin and gentle to nature and the environment. They further properly absorb into the upper layers of the skin and condition dry skin especially well.
We have very high standards for ingredients and packaging. In our ingredients, we particularly focus on their purity. Through constant quality control and tests, we make sure that only the best products leave our production. High-quality dispensers with airless technology guarantee that germs and bacteria don't even make it into our products. This allows us to renounce on preservatives for the most part, and work with preserving active ingredients like natural antioxidants, essential oils, tocopherol or citric acid.
