If you combine your night cream with a hyaluronic acid serum, you should first thoroughly cleanse your skin (with a cleansing milk, once or twice a week with a peeling). Since hyaluronic acid binds very large amounts of moisture, it is important to rehydrate skin after cleansing, using a facial toner. Apply one or two drops of the serum to slightly damp skin and gently pat it in. Once it is completely absorbed after about a minute, you can massage in the night cream from the chin up.
For certain skin care requirements such as anti-aging, more moisture, regeneration or smoother skin, it is worthwhile to use a serum with highly concentrated active ingredients in addition to the night cream. Applied under the night cream, it can be absorbed into the skin overnight during the regeneration phase of the body and unfold its full effect, while the cream puts a protective film over the serum.
If need be, body lotion can also be applied to the face. However, the needs of the skin differ in different parts of the body. A body lotion usually contains a significantly higher proportion of water than a day or night cream, because it needs to aborb into the skin fast and thoroughly. Depending on the skin type / condition and the duration of use, the skin on the face may be missing important lipids (fats) that it needs for a healthy skin barrier when applying body lotion for a prolungated time.
The amount of cream needed varies depending on the texture. The night cream from tour GREEN series is very rich, which is why an amount about the size of a hazelnut is usually sufficient for the face, neck and décolleté.
The following applies: skincare should be applied after cleansing. Since the skin should be cleansed both in the morning and in the evening, it is advisable to apply cream to the face twice a day.
As the name indicates, a night cream should be applied in the evening and replenish skin overnight.
That depends on the day cream. A good day cream contains natural oils for more moisture and a healthy skin barrier, as well as vitamins and nutrients that support the skin in its function. Such a cream can also be used overnight. If your day cream features a sun protection factor, you may want to add a separate night cream to your routine. Since the skin regenerates overnight, it may need a little more care at night. As a rule, a day cream is a little more lightweigth, whereas a night cream has a richer formulation.
We are of the opinion that having a day and a night cream makes sense because the human body is subject to the sleep-wake rhythm (also called circadian rhythm). According to scientific findings, this rhythm also has an impact on the skin and its needs: during the day, your skin's major concern is to maintain a protective function, which is why a cream with antioxidants is particularly important. The skin regenerates at night. This is why it can better process active ingredients that support regeneration.
The blue alga aphanizomenon flos-aquae belongs to the branch of fresh water alga and is a so called cyano bacterium that occurs in volcanic lakes of the North American Cascade region. It is rich in minerals, amino acids and B-vitamins.
The Blue Serum can generally be used by all skin types and ages. It is recommended for tired or sallow skin.
After cleansing and toning with GREEN Cleansing Milk and GREEN Tonic Sensitive, apply to face, neck and décolleté. Gently pat in and let work for around one minute. Follow with day or night cream.
For the best effects, we recommend a regular use of once or twice per day.
In general, yes. However, when using several serums at the same time, we do recommend that you restrict the application of one serum to a particular area (e.g. Blue Serum on the cheeks, Green Serum in the eye area). You should not apply the serums on top of each other, as the penetration of active ingredients cannot be guaranteed in that instance. The best solution is to allocate one time of the day to a specific serum. If, i.e., you would like to help protect your skin from photoaging and counteract existing fine lines, you can use the Yellow Serum in the morning and the Pure Hyaluronic Intense Serum or Nude Serum at night.
Sustainability, purity and naturalness are very important to us. In organic cultivation, farmers have to ensure crop rotation, renounce on pesticides or chemical fertilizers and are not allowed to use genetically modified seeds. Only this kind of farming is in line with our core values.
Yes, we love animals and would never test cosmetics on them! In our formulations we completely renounce on animal product and don't even use honey or beeswax. Also our hyaluronic acid is synthesized from plant-material.
No, the GREEN series only features natural fragrances, either as essential oils, natural extracts or cold-pressed oils.
Purity and skin compatbility are key in our products. We have a very clear philosophy to renounce on unnecessary fillers to save costs or get to a comfortable texture easily. As a principle, we renounce on mineral oils and silicones and instead use organic-grade cold pressed oils and natural lipds. This alternative is far more exepnsive, but allows us to create products with luxurious textures that contain precious nutrients that absorb into skin. In general, natural oils and lipids integrate far better into the skin's balance: as an emulsion they resemble human sebum and are therefore very well compatible with the skin and gentle to nature and the environment. They further properly absorb into the upper layers of the skin and condition dry skin especially well.

Through constant quality control and tests, we make sure that only the best products leave our production. High-quality dispensers with airless technology guarantee that germs and bacteria don't even make it into our products. This allows us to renounce on preservatives for the most part, and work with preserving active ingredients like natural antioxidants, essential oils, tocopherol or citric acid.
